After our 3 days in the jungle, it was time to visit Bolivia's wetlands known as Las Pampas...
LN on the look out for some endangered species...
Ciarán en pleine contemplation de ses pieds.
Mackin trying to look cool.
Capybaras along the banks of the river. They may be the biggest rodents in the world but they were an instant hit with LN.
"Y avait des GROS CROCODILES..." (surtout des caïmans!)
In the words of Steve Irwin "Crikey mate, that's a bute!"
Our guide said it would be a good idea to have a swim with the pink dolphins (behind us on some of the pictures). We were happy enough, as long as the big alligator over there stayed where he was...
He could take it no longer, the sight of Mackin's legs was just too tempting!
Un cousin lointain, le singe jaune.
Along the way, a yellow monkey swung in to say hi.
Sounds like the start of a joke: twelve turtles, a stork and an alligator were sitting on a riverbank...
River turtles don't like wasting space!
We saw all sorts of birds in the Pampas, such as "the noisy turkey".
After 200 attempts, LN caught this stork in flight.
Close encounter with an anaconda. Luckily, it was only about a month old.
Fishing for dinner. I think Hélène expected something bigger ;-)
